About.

My name is Kate and I'm a Freelance Graphic Designer with 10 years of experience. Based in Peebles, I launched K Graphic Design in July 2017. 

 

After University, I completed an internship in Hollywood, California before living in Glasgow, then Edinburgh. I worked as an Event Manager, organising Weddings, Award Ceremonies, Dinner Dances, Product Launches, Conferences & Road Shows to name but a few. Being a Graphic Designer meant I was able to complement the events I planned with bespoke items and advertising.

I naturally fell into Communications which led me to work as the Events and Communications Manager for Queen Margaret University SU. Following this, I spent time working as an Account Manager for a design agency that organised Events in London and the Middle East. 

 

After 12 years of city life (and a 'what on earth am I doing in Canary Wharf dressed like my dad' moment) I returned to my hometown of Peebles in the Scottish Borders with the dream of starting my own business. No-one was more surprised than me when I decided to stay put long term. Since returning to the Borders I've met many interesting and inspiring creative people who have shown me just how many opportunities there are in this area of the world.

I will take on National Corporate campaigns, hold your hand when launching a new business, design one off Wedding Stationery, ensure your cocktail menus shine, make a birthday card for your granny or create that weird 'in joke' photoshop request you feel too embarrassed to request - just get in touch!
